A list of all theft reports
You can now view a list of all handbag theft reports, with further details where available. To view this you can either click on the one you are interested in on the map page and click “Further details”, click on Reports in the top right hand corner, or simply click here. It makes interesting reading!

There are good people out there!
A great story from John:
I found a bag ditched in Arlington Road, Camden, last month. I’m assuming it was pinched off Camden High Street, as Arlington Rd is parallel to it.
It was a black woman’s handbag with a Swedish passport (tourist?) and house keys - no money, of course.

More bag thefts reported

First crimes added
The first four handbag thefts in London have been added to the map, three being theft of entire bags and one being the theft of credit cards from a bag.

This site reports on the widespread problem of hand bag thefts across London and the rest of the UK. This is an “unreported” crime as it is not possible to get these statistics broken down by theft type from the Government.
