Handcrafted Leather Watch Bands
Posted by JW under Reviews
Watchband.biz have ordered a review of their site from us, so let’s see what we can do.
Watchband.biz do what they say, provide new watch bands (or watch straps as they’re sometimes called). However, they provide handcrafted leather bands with a wide variety of price ranges. A bit of spiel from their site:
… watch bands are handcrafted - one by one, in a process consisting of more than 60 steps. Fine reptile leathers are punched, seams are sewn, varnish is carefully applied. The Classic Collection offers unique leather watch bracelets made in HIRSCH Rembordier Technology. All leather watchbands are Sauna-Tested and Water-Resistant. Some watch straps in the collection are even 100m Water-Resistant and are provided with the HIRSCH No Allergy System. The designs in the Bijou Series constist of matte or shiny metals, classical forms, elegant showpieces or modern combinations of different materials. The HIRSCH Sparetube System allows to adjust the bracelet to the individual size. The Solo Collection stands for functional watch straps, clear forms and innovative materials proving that a sporty design is compatible with complete wearer comfort.
Features
The website has a couple of nice features. Firstly the Watch Brands page tells you which of the HIRSCH and StrapCulture bands that they sell, fit on different brands of watch. Whilst not covering all major watch brands, I can only assume they just cover watches that fit their straps.
The other nice feature is the watch sizing guide. Simply print it out, check the scale against a ruler, and then you can see what size band you need to buy. Based in Germany, Watchband.biz deliver worldwide and have over 5,000 different watch bands for sale.
Convenience
The site is conveniently available in French and German, as well as English, without the need for a separate online translation tool. They also sell watch parts, tools and on a separate site, cases and winders.

They have a good testimonials page, something a lot of sites miss, and even if you’re not looking to buy a band at the moment, they have a great tutorials page that covers everything from sizing and fitting, to repairing and manufacturing.
The site would benefit from being able to display prices in different currencies, it currently defaults to US Dollars, and Euros for the French and German versions. Besides that Watchband.biz seems to be a great first stop for a new watch band.

I’ve had a very bad experience shopping with Watchband.biz. They have been rude and now completely unresponsive to complaints regarding their error in fulfilling my order. Here we are several weeks later a still no resolution.
