Who’s Watching Your Purse?

Retford supermarket Morrisons has teamed up with the police to raise awareness of handbag security to its customers.
On Thursday 25 January 2007, between 11am and 12.30pm, advice leaflets and purse bells will be handed out to customers in the store on Idle Valley Road.
- Do not place your purse on top of the counter when paying for goods. Keep it firmly in your hand.
- Do not keep your PIN with your credit card.
- Keep your hand bag closed and with you all the time.
- Do not leave purses on top of your shopping bags.
- Do not leave valuables or a purse unattended on a shopping trolley or on the basket of an electric scooter.
- Pay attention to who is around you. Don’t be an easy target for criminals.
